The Residence

Life at Azafrán moves naturally between indoors and out.
The house was created around the landscape, with open living spaces, wide terraces and rooms that look outward toward the jungle and Pacific beyond. There is a generosity to the way it unfolds: places to gather, places to disappear for an afternoon, and very little separation between the rhythms of the house and the natural world around it.
The House
At the center of the residence, the kitchen and main living spaces open easily onto the terrace and pool.
The kitchen is designed to be genuinely used, whether breakfast is something simple before heading to the beach or dinner becomes the evening itself. Nearby, the living room offers a quieter place to read, play a game, or turn the telescope toward the coast and night sky.
Natural materials, collected objects and thoughtful details give the house its warmth. Nothing feels overly precious. The beauty is in how comfortably it is lived in.
The Rooms
Azafrán Gardens has four bedrooms and accommodates up to ten guests.
Three king suites offer privacy and space of their own, while the El Barco room has two queen beds and an adjoining lounge. Each bedroom has a private bathroom, and two include outdoor showers open to the surrounding greenery.
Comfort is considered quietly, with quality linens and mattresses, air conditioning, ceiling fans, and enough separation between rooms that even a full house never feels crowded.
Life Outdoors
Much of life at Azafrán happens outside.
The saltwater infinity pool sits at the edge of the canopy, with views moving across the jungle toward the coast. Around it, terraces, balconies and garden spaces create different places to spend the day, whether that means a long lunch outside, an afternoon by the water or an evening gathered beneath the open sky.
There is enough room to come together and enough room to find your own corner of it.

The Gardens
The house sits within a landscape that has been cultivated slowly over time.
Tropical planting, palms, flowering species and mature greenery surround the residence, while fruit and vegetable gardens bring another layer of life to the property. Birds and wildlife move through the canopy throughout the day, and paths through the grounds offer small shifts in view and perspective.
The gardens are not simply something to look at. They are part of how the house is experienced.
The Shala
Set apart from the main living spaces, the private yoga shala offers an open, dedicated place for movement and practice.
Mornings might begin here with yoga or a workout, or simply a few quiet minutes before the rest of the house wakes. Mats, free weights and training equipment are available, and private instruction can be arranged during a stay.
Like much of Azafrán, the space is intentionally flexible. It is there to be used in whatever way feels natural.

Beyond The House

Beyond the gardens, the coastline unfolds in both directions. Garza sits below the house, Nosara is a short drive north, and quieter beaches and small coastal communities are all within easy reach.
